Pull the first color through the punch needle with the wire threader. The color guide tells you which bobbin matches each number.

Punch the numbers
Push the needle down through the canvas, lift it just clear of the surface and move along. Each punch leaves a loop, and the loops fill the shape. It's oddly satisfying.

Is punch needle easy for beginners?
Yes. You push the needle through the canvas and it leaves a loop, so there are no knots or stitches to learn. The pattern is printed and numbered, and kits marked Easy use big shapes and few colors. If you can color inside the lines, you're overqualified.
What comes in the kit?
A canvas with a printed, numbered pattern, already stretched on a wooden frame, plus a punch needle pen, a threader, pre-wound threads on numbered bobbins, a color guide with instructions and hangers. Mini sets have four canvases.
How do the numbers work?
Each area on the canvas has a number. The color guide shows which thread goes with each number, and the bobbins are numbered too, so you always know which color goes where.
What is the difference between a single kit and a mini set?
A single kit has one canvas, in a choice of five sizes, or four if the design is square. A mini set has four small canvases with matching designs, in two sizes, and shares one punch needle and one threader.
Which size should I choose?
The size is the frame size, shown in inches and centimeters. A smaller size is less to punch and easy to hold on your lap. A larger size fills more of the wall. The size chart in the photos shows them side by side.

About the Navy Easter Eggs mini punch needle kits
Navy Easter Eggs is a set of four mini punch needle kits. Each small canvas is printed with its own design, split into numbered areas, and stretched on a wooden frame. It works like paint by numbers with thread: match a number to its bobbin, thread the punch needle and fill the shape with loops.
We rate this design Medium. It has more shapes or shading than our easy kits, and it is still simple to follow, one number at a time.
Choose 6 × 8 in (15 × 20 cm) or 8 × 12 in (20 × 30 cm) canvases; all four in a set are the same size. One punch needle pen and one threader are shared across the set, and you also get pre-wound numbered threads, a color guide and four sets of hangers.
